Simply cool: our second digital logistics portal

With the digital customer portal my.thurtrans.ch, the customers of Thurtrans AG enter, plan and track their transport orders themselves online – including the temperature data of the goods they have in storage.

The starting point

Thurtrans is the transport company where staff and goods stay cool in any situation – in keeping with its slogan “eifach cool”. Previously, exchanging data with customers ran largely through analogue, error-prone and labour-intensive channels such as phone, email and fax. Thurtrans AG wanted to digitalise these channels with a customer portal of its own.

The solution

As solution partner to Thurtrans AG, xappido built the digital customer portal my.thurtrans.ch. A substantial part of the project builds on the already established customer portal of Schöni Transport AG, which maintains close ties with Thurtrans AG. The cooperation between the two transport companies opened up valuable synergies, so a solution could be implemented in next to no time. During the project the code base was refined and extended so that the portal will be even easier to scale in future.

The result

The new portal lets Thurtrans customers enter, plan and track transport orders independently, in a few clicks. The fully automated software even supplies the temperature data of the goods in storage. Customers therefore have complete control at all times over faultless storage and on-time delivery of their goods.
