A special team outing at Zurich Airport

Instead of working on innovative software solutions for our clients as usual, we had the great pleasure of experiencing the airport live and from an entirely new perspective.

High-visibility vests instead of keyboards

On an exclusive tour we were taken straight behind the scenes and could watch the impressive operations at close range – from aircraft taking off and landing to the logistical subtleties that keep an international airport running smoothly.

In high-visibility vests and out on the airport site, the same organisation looks different from the way it does in a list of requirements. An engine two metres away makes it clear what scale people think in here.

What we took away

For our whole team the visit was a unique look into our client’s world and a wonderful opportunity to connect the technical side of our work with the reality on the ground. Being close to the processes and to the aircraft let us see how much our software solutions matter day to day.

Anyone who has seen the time pressure people work under here develops software differently: every superfluous click in a portal costs someone on the ground real seconds.
